Curing

The main advantages of the use of steam are:

• Faster hardening of concrete
• Extremely fast stripping and storage.
• Faster rotation of molds and formworks (up to 3 times per day)
• More delivery opportunities

Thanks to CM REGERO Industries’s steam generators, this operation can be performed in 2 ways:

• in a fixed curing oven
• or under a cover

Principle of the curing oven

Once the hot concrete is in place, the insulating lid is placed on the bench. The temperature then is around 40°C. With a heat input calculated according to the volumes and materials involved, the temperature can reach 70°C in one hour.

This temperature is maintained under the lid for approximately 4 hours (according to the volume of concrete). Then the bench is uncapped and the temperature of the concrete goes down to 40° C in half an hour.

Compression resistance after treatment is approximately 250 to 280 kg/cm2.
